Michigan Amateur Shooting Dog Classic

Judges: Roger Bryant & John Curry

Winners

Winner - Wanbli - IS B F - Ken Delong

RU - John's Hard Cider - ESF - John Crissenbury

Winner: Wanbli, Brittany female - Ken Delong owner/handler. Finished the hour on a bird finding spree tallying two grouse and a woodcock in the last ten minutes for a total of two woodcock and two grouse. With a rock solid race, she through down the gauntlet for all others to take up.

Runner-Up: John's Hard Cider, English Setter female- John Crisenberry owner/handler. Picked up the challenge with a blazing ground race, a grouse find including a masterful relocation one woodcock and a grouse limb find. Finished forward in the afternoon heat.

Several other dogs had bird contacts as many grouse and woodcock were seen on the courses. Congratulations to the winners for their championship level performances!

Amateur Derby

1st Place - Springpond's Fine Time - ES - Leeann Parnell

2nd Place - Moss Meadow Roy - ESM - Ken Moss

3rd Place - Jake - ESM - Ray Weisbarber

First place: Lucy, ESF- Leanne Parnell owner/handler. Lucy scored two woodcock finds on course 8 in the 60 degree afternoon heat and finished going away.

Second place: Roy, ESM- Ken Moss owner/handler. Roy had a single woodcock find and a pleasing albeit shorter race.

Third place: Jake, ESM- Ray Weisgarber owner/handler. Roy found one woodcock on course 3.
